Sodium polyacrylate

Fryster

--Freedom Czar--
I guess this "plant gel" has been around a while, but would it be safe to use with CP's??

Say, mix a small amount with the peat and perlite to help hold moisture in the soil?

Supposedly, sodium polyacrylate is inert and safe for regular houseplants, but I was curious about CP’s………..

Any thoughts? Anyone brave enough to try it with a VFT? ;)

No, it breaks down. And it actually sucks water out of the soil to maintain an equilibrium if the soil gets too "dry".

Not only that but acrylamide is a pretty potent neurotoxin and carcinogen...

is this the same stuff as Soil Moist? if not then is Soil Moist OK for CPs?
