Super Moss

I can't figure out if this stuff is sphagnum or not. On their website it just says "preserved sheet moss". Even if it isn't would it still be OK to grow seeds in?

Sheet moss?

I've heard of that somewhere, and my guess would be NO.

Try giving a link.

Sheet moss is not LFS. Don't use it.

I would say :nono:

The picture sort of sucks, but it looks like this stuff has zero water retaining capability. I'd give it a thumbs down.

So do I HAVE to get LFS, or can I just use plain old peat n' perlite for seeds.

I 'spose it depends what seeds you're talking about. But yeah, with peat/perlite it is usually easier to spot sprouts on, and works fine for most seeds.

Yup, I like peat better for germination, too. Less nooks and crannies.
