My dad was kind of like our tour guide. One day he took us to a town in the country that has a bunch of historic buildings and temples and stuff.

Another day, we all went on a guided tour. Both my dad and husband are afraid of heights, so they chose the tour which included the building with the least amount of floors. (freakin dorks!) anyway, the tour began at the world trade center, which is 40 floors high, then a boat ride up a river, a visit to a verylarge temple, and the emperor palace.

i'm tired so i'll post some more later. my mom bought a house in the country by the beach. we walked her yorkshire terriers, which are like her kids. i'm glad she's doing okay. this is the first time i've seen her since she had a stroke a few years ago. she has a VW polo that's rigged so she can drive it with one foot and one hand. i post more photos.

for those of you who want to look at a buttload of pics, here is a link to my photobucket album of pics i uploaded.

Sorry i haven't been on the forums a whole lot lately. Hope everything's been well here in plant land.

dude, you are sooo breaking my heart right now!!! ive been wanting to go to japan for the longest time. Unfortunately a $2000 is not enough so that sucks for me. Last time i was there, I stayed at Narita. It was soo beautiful.

Btw, nice fairlady. Ive always wanted one in black but I can't make it my project car cuz im always broke. Plus, the car takes up soo much gas.

What a great trip. I would love to visit Japan sometime. Your daughter and your yorkie are adorable! Thank you for sharing those. I love the pictures of the temples and the emperor's palace.

xvart.

I lived in japan for 6 months it was GREAT, i was like 9 though that was along time ago for me..

How cool. I like the blue pedestrian crossing sign and of course the golden terd! :) Thanks for sharing. Seems like you had a great trip.

Wow! It looks so much cleaner than America!

Welcome cabk. Man you look upset or cold in the one pic. Why does a song by The Vapors come to mind?

very cool. I've wanted to go to Japan since I was a kid. BONZAI!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think you need to get out of the city pill. I basically live in Mayberry, very clean. That would be like me judging all women based on porno-queens.

Wow! It looks so much cleaner than America!

wow! you can tell that from just those pics? yes. it's like a ga-gillion times cleaner than the states. not to talk trash (ha ha- a pun!) but they actually care about stuff like that. Americans (and people in our country) seem much more rude and stuff.

my husband's dad worked for an airline for a while, so we got to all fly for extreeeemely discounted amounts. but, since we are stand-by passengers we got stuck in Atlanta both ways. (Atlanta is the opposite direction to Japan, but it's Delta's main hub). Anyway, we got to explore Atlanta for a bit (not by choice really- just boredom since we got a hotel 2 nights on the way there) We never even made it back to Dallas since we couldn't get on a flight. After getting stuck for one night and not faring well getting on the next day's flight we flew to Austin, rented a car, and drove back to Dallas. *whew* Those were the worst parts of the trip. Other than that- it was all good. My dad is retired military, so for the first few nights we stayed on base- which is super cheap.

Yeah my eyes popped out. I was really surprised by how clean it looks!

So far my impression is that Japan is cleaner than America because their cities are, and if their cities are then their Mayberries must be, too. Maybe it's the Kyoto Treaty?

From what I remember it was clean when I was 9, it just smelt different. I was on the island of Okinowa japan.

Ahh man.. I've always wanted to go to Japan! I can't wait to go sometime after college!

Welcome back. I love that pic looking off the edge of the sky scraper all the way down...

I've never seen anyone come back from there with so many photos of VWs. It's like coming back from Italy with photos of Buicks. Of course I just came back from FL with more photos of cattle than alligators.

Really enjoyed the photos. Well, not the cars so much as other stuff. I'm not a car person.

Liked the golden turd too. :)
