Looking for Michigan CP Growers

The Obsessive Gardener
Hi:

I live in Lansing, Michigan. It seems strange that I can't locate a cp growers group here.

I am wondering if we could create a list of all Michigan people on this forum. Perhaps we could arrange some chats so Michigan people can share their experiences with those of us who are still trying to conquer this hobby!

PLEASE POST HERE IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO EXPERIMENT WITH A "VIRTUAL CP CLUB IN MICHIGAN VIA A CHATROOM.

I am a book reviewer for Christian Literature and a few very select nature study books at http://christianliterature.bellaonline.com

We have chatrooms available. I would be interested in scheduling a weekly or perhaps just monthly chat.

Anyone interested?

If it's in a chatroom anyway why be specifically Michigan oriented? Seems pointless since it's all virtual anyway.

We have like.. 2 or 3 maps of everyone who adds themselves. I'll look for it around here somewhere.

EDIT: dun dun dun found them. Not sure they still work.

I believe the ICPS has a membership directory, but it only lists members and you have to be a member to see it (really worth joining for many reasons).

I live in Wisconsin, lol. That's close!

Still, I don't know of many in Michigan. You could do a search.

I would love to keep it to those in Michigan BECAUSE I am dreaming of one day having a cp club under the Internatiional Carnivorous Plant Society. It's hopeless to limit it to Lansing since I doubt there are 5 of us and that might be pushing it! I thought going state-wide gave us a better chance.

Hmmm. Maybe developing a "great lakes states club" would be easier?

Under the ICPS? I don't understand what you mean by that. All of the smaller regional societies aren't "beneath" the ICPS.

Okay. Because all my other plant clubs have affiliated clubs, I assumed this one did too. There goes my entire idea!

You're right. We could just have a chat open to everyone. Although, I did want to focus on those hardy to the great lakes region.

Oh well, another idea down the tubes.

Hmm a great lakes society sounds like an awsome idea.
