Hi all, I just got some plants in the mail (mostly sarracenia) and I noticed that my backyard was not in full sun, so I took action! these trees that were very small and that were not intentionally planted in my backyard were taking up all of the sun. (They were also covered in honeysuckle, so the trees themselves were dying). Since the trees were dying and they were blocking sunlight from entering my garden, I got my friend to help me cut down all of the branches and stuff. Then we got a buch of roundup and sprayed the rest of the foliage that was not part of the trees, i.e. honeysuckle and other weeds. Now my backyard has full sun!

It was a success, however and now my plants look very happy!
