That's alright, I can just copy your plans lol.

Lowlanders are typically easier to provide growing conditions for...highlanders are more unusual but in most cases have more stringent requirements. Then there are the intermediates... :) I think selling lowlanders is fine...there's a variety and lots of hybrids.

Finally I get my name on the list. I didn't know I was supposed to PM you. You KNOW me AND you know I bought from you. :p

Monday was the day I got my plants so I figured it was about time to take some pictures of them and post them up!! I am extremely happy with the beautiful plants I received and hopefully I can grow them as well as many of the members on this board! I can already see a difference in the plants I received and can tell that they are growing. Remember as you look at these pictures, that these are the first carnivorous plants (besides a few that I got a few days earlier from someone else) that I have ever grown and they are still a little beat-up from shipping, so they aren't as miraculous as everyone elses plants here.... yet! :)

These first few plants are the ones that I have growing under a four foot shoplight with two 40 watt flourescent bulbs.

D. spatulata - I had this one out in the sun for a few days before I noticed it looked like it was becoming burnt, so I immediately moved it inside.

d. burmanni - blurry picture, whoops!

Another d. spatulata

These plants are the ones that I have had outside. They recieve full sunlight for the first half of the morning until it gets hot, then I move them under partial sunlight.

Venus flytrap - It's looking pretty good, I can see new shoots coming up on it already!

Another d. burmanni I received

Venus Flytrap Akai Ryu - It's not looking as good as my other VFT, but maybe that's just because it's a different kind? I can see new shoots coming up on it though, also, so I guess it's doing okay!

Can someone please tell me (I know, I know, very noobish question!), but are those flower stalks coming up on the sundews? Any help regarding anything would be appreciated! Thanks for looking and I highly recommend ordering from the flytrapshop!!! :-D

Yes.

I'm thinking about buying a N. sanguinea from the Flytrap Shop, since I gave mine up a long time ago. Even though it's pretty common, I still think it's one of the nicest looking Neps, especially the orange variety.

trek, glad you like them and thanks for taking the time to post pictures :) as JLAP said yes those are flower stalks. I didn't know if they would make it through being shipped and all or stress the plant too much so that's why I sent some flowering and some not along with some extras :)

While I'm here I should give a :welcome: to

Blepharopsis

as he is the newest member of the Thank You membership :) Thanks!!!!

Finally found a Friday good morning to take pictures of my purchase from Flytrapshop. These plants got here on Wednesday, packaged in excellent condition. Processing and shipping the order was also fast considering I ordered Sunday evening and the order shipped out Monday before noon!

I am currently growing these outdoors in a 50/50 peat perlite mix. They will probably get around 7-8 hours of direct sun light during the summer. And now to the photos...

Hey Blepharopsis, thanks for taking the time to share some photos! I love it! It makes it way more rewarding then just sending out some plants and never getting a chance to see them. I have a feeling I'll see all these plants and their offspring for years to come :)

Well, there is surely one that needs a home in here. All these poor homeless orphans :( hehe

Hey! Those are some great looking neps, adnedarn! I may have to order one for my first tropical pitcher plant.

I just wanted to show off one of the sundews I got from theflytrapshop a couple of weeks ago... it's flowering!! It's not the only one that is though, another d. spatulata is about to being flowering also. :boogie:

These are TERRIBLE pictures, but you can still make out the flower.

Can someone please give me some advice on how I should collect the seeds to grow some more spatulata, or should I just let them fall over the same container and pull the baby spatulatas out whenever they begin to grow?
