In all actual fairness he did answer this attack in one of the clips I posted. When he did write those comments in the questionnaire in 1992, there wasn't as much information on AIDS as we know today. There was still a stigma on the homosexuality community dealing with AIDS, even from professionals in the medical field where he got his information from.
As for whether or not he should have called it a sin or not, I understand what you're saying and understand the criticism. However JLAP if someone were to ask you if you prefer homosexuality to heterosexuality, would you deny your preference? Why should he lie that he believes homosexuality is a sin? I think there's a difference to be genuine about your beliefs and to force them upon people. He respects the 1st amendment and religious freedoms and doesn't think any religion should be favored or imposed upon. Does that make him wrong for being honest about his beliefs? Would you rather him lie and say that he believes homosexuality is not a sinful way of life according to God? I'm sure he would say gambling, alcoholism, and porn addiction are sinful ways of life too. At least this man has integrity about his beliefs, tries to live them out and is upfront and transparent about them.
Good job buying the mainstream media propaganda that he's using his faith to take him to the presidency. You obviously haven't seen any interviews with him.
Good job buying the Huckabee media propaganda that he's NOT using his faith to take him to the presidency.
You obviously believe what you want to believe and ignore the rest.
I made up my opinion all by my little self..
and I have seen his interviews..so what?
the facts are..he had made recent comments about Mormonism:
"Don't Mormons believe that Jesus and the devil are brothers?" --Mike Huckabee, New York Times magazine article, December 16, 2007. ...
Obviously he knows the answer to that question, which is no, they dont.
thetre is no way we can believe he honestly didnt know..not now.
that statement was SO obviously meant to disparage Romney because he is Mormon and hurt Romneys campaign because he is Mormon.
then days later he apologizes..and we are supposed to believe he didnt mean anything by it?? please..little jabs like that are totally meant for effect, especially in a political campaign..NOTHING is "an innocent little meaningless comment"..so he cant act all innocent later and expect us to buy it (well...apparently some of us will buy it!
..but its too late, his true intent has already come out of his mouth.
