truncata, ceph and VFTs in my gas tank

I just stopped at Sam's Club to gas up before much driving this week and decided that it'd be "fun" to translate the total for the whole tank into CPs that I now CAN'T buy. So I went to one page and learned that I could have purchased (before shipping), one small cephalotus, one medium N truncata and 4 Red Dragon VFTs for the amount that I just poured into my tank.

At this time tomorrow, I will probably have to dump another ceph or two in the tank.

sad.

Gas is crazy. It got up to $4.01 for the good stuff and $4.25 for diesel. It's not gonna get better until everyone stops paying the criminals who charge us that much for it. That's why I got my bike and legs and stopped driving my car.

That's how I always justify buying my orders... One tank of gas is gone in a week, while one order at the same amount can stick with you for years.

Um, well, I think the goverment should cheat all the gas companies by simply getting one company to bring down their prices and then add the tax agian, so that company gets huge profits when the others don't so they are forced to lower their prices.

I say we just go partially socialist and throw down price controls. Oil and transportation are the only things that are NOT market driven, and it's (insert expletives here).

its the stock market freaks driving up the cost of oil....every time someone in the sand box sneezes the speculators drive up the cost of oil........granted the oil companies are raking in the benefits but they aint the ones raising the prices.......but as far as im concerned the oil companies are a BUSINESS that is supposed to make MONEY.......it costs the oil companies $5 million to punch a new hole in northeast Montana when all is said and done and before they bring any of it to the surface...oil refineries are expanding like crazy cause they cant get permits to build new ones..........not all the money is going into their pockets......

if Andrew could get away with charging $40 for a D. capensis and the majority of the market was willing to pay it we would all be congratulating Andrew........the cost has sky rocketed sure but demand hasnt gone down.......

another thing to keep in mind alot of this is our own doing....the refineries have to make many types of gas and diesel that is mandated by the different states....the oil companies have a choice of resetting up their equipment all the time for the different fuel types or produce the basic gas and diesel and sell it to Asia at a better profit margin.....you want better prices but the whole country on only a few types of diesel and gas./....hell California has atleast 10 forms of gasoline and another 4 or so different diesel's......and yes you need to run different diesel when its cold in the winter versus in the summer especially up here but 10 different forms of gasoline in the state to run cars on?....it makes more sence for teh oil companies to make one kind and ship it to Asia than to set up there plants 10 times to supply Cali with the different types of gas....you make more money shipping it to Asia and oil companies are in business to make money

EDIT to add clarification....in those 10 types of gas ARE NOT INCLUDED aviation and marine fuel, those are seperate the 10 types are what is sold at various gas stations throughout the state

time to dig under the house! maybe we could use pig &people's fat to run our cars:-)) they'll be happy that their skinny

Haha. This is great. I've used this recently as justification to buy a bunch of plants.

"Aw, what the hell, it's the same cost as what I'll blow out the tailpipe in less than a month, and they'll last a lot longer!"

To be fair though, I'm lucky in that I only have to fill my gas tank once every 6 weeks. I only have a 10 mile drive to work, and it only has to be done once a week. My wife lives two miles from work. We feel the gas prices most in the price of food. We are moving next month, and that will likely hit us in the gas tank quite hard.
