These are actually the only spiders I'll pick up. We called them "crab spiders" when I was a kid.

Yeah, I used to call them "crab spiders" too. Later on I learned that they're called "spinybacked spiders." Crab spiders are another kind of interesting spider that stalk around flowers waiting for unfortunate pollinators to land. Crab spiders can actually change color to an extent.

Also, if a wolf spider ever jumped on me... well, I don't know what I'd do besides scream loudly and strip naked and run away....
