the amp can recover. high humidity, and warm temps.
Is the black part of the amp rotted ?
Maybe you can save it by removing all the black stuff.
I've had some success with rooting the weirdest stuff by placing in my "IC unit".
It's made with those cheap seed trays, got a closed one at the bottom filled with water, tray with cells in it to carry the weigth of the tray with holes i placed on top of that, in there i put live spag and a clear lid on top.
Anything thats still alive will root in there.
Even kept alive some scheff leaf cuttings and even rooted them in there XD (no new leaves yet though)
So far nothing has ever died in there.
I found a ceropegia leaf that fell in there a year ago, no roots but still as fresh as it was the day it broke of the plant.
