Comic-Con Goers Overrun Westboro Baptist Church

Westboro thinks that comic fans worship false idols, but these Comic-Con counterprotesters didn't seem to be taking themselves too seriously. They even organized on Twitter, using the hashtag #GodLovesBatman, and got photos of their signs to the top of Reddit and Digg. This is why the geeks shall inherit the earth, my friends.

Basically, Comic-Con goers found out Westboro Baptist Church was going to protest at Comic-Con, they organize an anti-protest, and then, the fun ensues. There are some hilarious signs.... Here are links to the pictures:

The comic con counter-protest signs were awesome! None of their signs were hateful just jokey. A perfect comeback to that humorless bunch.

Those Westboro people protested at the Ronnie James Dio funeral in CA as well as several soldier funerals here in MN. Just looking for publicity for their retarded message any way they can get it out there. The funny thing is the more publicity they get the more it works against them.

The chick with the "Hallo, my name is Inigo Montoya, you killa my father, prepare to die!" poster seems still a tad out of place, IMHO. But where else would she display it? The Bender costume rates 9 out of ten and the gay jokes in front of the church are an absolute home run. Wish I could have been there. Just don't like wearing my undies on the outside!
