San Diego: Balboa Park & the Zoo pics (DAILUP WARNING!)

With bonus orchid show and sale pics from Balboa Park. Sorry if some of the plant pics are a little blurry..the day started out overcast and using flash photography distorts color a lot in orchids...

I went to the conservatory with tropical plants ..

Super dial-up warning! LOL!

Your pictures came out great! I'm a bit pouty though that you didn't get closeups of what looks like Sarrs and Neps! But very nice!! Looks like a great time!!

Naw, just 3.5 hours ;)

Amazing orchids. Quite exotic birds, too.

Yeah! The Zoo has a lot more to offer, being the famous San Diego Zoo and all, but I didn't have the time to walk through all of it because my feet already hurt and I had to get home to move my helis out of the roasting sun ;).

Sorry...fixed that...

The Sarrs and Neps actually looked not so great in Balboa Park. Covered in bugs from how they were growing in, which is why I now don't want to donate my extras to them... The ones at the zoo were doing better, but they were all sorts of regular every day varieties and nothing too special...or any favorites of mine :p

Can we denote plants to the park or zoo?
