You could try glass etching paste...
might work...
might also leach poisonous chemicals into the pot!

Well, everyone else mentioned all the normal solutions already,
so I am reaching "out of the box" for something not already mentioned.

Perhaps as suggested, a dremel tool used in various spots would be enough.
Or even better, buy a pot without glazing inside! (I said I was thinking outside the box!)

I'd say that fine abrasive blasting would potentially be the most reliable method, but this is a specialist job. I think that you are very unlikely to get satisfactory results with any DIY methods.

Thanks for the input guys. It shipped today so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it's old enough not to have been glazed inside that would be nice cos then I won't even have to worry about it.
