LFS on Grow Rack Trays

I bought a bag of LFS last week and then I thought it would be a good idea to spread it among the top 2 trays of the grow rack. I figure it will slow the evaporation down, as well as being available for leaf cuttings and trades.

Great idea, however the increased surface area may even increase evaporation. Time will tell.

Good chance it will make a big stinking mess :p
I did that for a while, it grew fine but messy and fungus gnats / birch seedlings everywere.
And stuff in the pots would grow out of them and into the moss/muck below it, making it nearly impossible to move them.

Half to 3/4 of the 2 trays were wthout pots, so they were totally exposed to the air. The LFS should retard the evaporation.

It's other purposes are to produce a layer of live moss as well as packing material for trades.
