Thanks, it was my first lowlander. I got it because I heard they stay compact, ideal for terrariums.....yeah right! :-))

Wow, those plants all look amazing! specially that ceph...

Great job growing them all!

Thanks, I've noticed that now that the nights are getting down to 60F, the ceph has colored up nicely....cool nights seem to make them darker.

That's really good looking LFS!

How did you keep this a secret from me?! :0o:

Everything looks so very nice!! I like it...ALOT.

Hey, where's the hamata close ups? Way to crush my hopes..

it hasn't made any new pitchers since I repotted it, but it did make a cameo in this pic not long ago.....

Marvelous! I get a preview of what that sanguinea looks like!

  • #12
that doesn't look like a pure sanguinea. There is an alata influence in there.

Hey alright.. thanks for giving me something to look forward to.

You sure?.....there are many forms of sanguinea....and many of them look like mine.

I disagree, I'm definitely seeing a lot of argentii coming through.

It's probably more like a complex hybrid like (vetchii x rajah) x clipeata) x argentii

Geez, might as well throw some hamata in there as well. :-))

I don't even see sanguinea.. I see hamata x (macrophylla x x TM).. duh! Kind of obvious.

Well...you forgot to throw in a jamban, hurrelliana, edwardsiana, x harryana in there. :p

But well...seriously though...it looks like some form of a speckled alata.

This is a sanguinea.

And the black one you have is a sanguinea as well.

Really, I think these are the same species.....just different forms.

Not sure what "black one" you are speaking of, this is the darkest one I have....and yes, it's sanguinea.

......I get the impession that we are talking about different plants here....

...why...why is this being debated?
Exo has Sanguinea. His is the "blood red" form, which is actually the form from where that species got its names! (Latin sanguineus = "blood red". More common usage= what's Sangria?)
They DO come in many different colors. Orange is the most common form, but as pointed out, there's also blood red, along with green, "spotted", pink, and purple/brown.

Gorgeous neps, the both of you :-D
