amazing plants---except for that AW villosa. hahaha. mine looked like that as well. i do wish you the best with that sucker. with winter around the bend you might make it!

Thanks :awesome: I'm sooo glad I got it in the Fall instead of in the Spring because it would have been a goner by now for sure.

On next week's episode of "hoarders"..........:-))

Hey...at least it's pretty stuff that increases in value if you're doing it right, instead of sitting around slowly decomposing :p

...and here's my new replacement argentii! (traded mine away for ceph seeds; don't have a hoarde of sprouts so I want an argentii back! :-)))

Aristo's a great plant. It'll pitcher when even dubia won't. And I've seen better campy X (spec X talan)s on cpphotofinder, but... I'll take what I can get :p It should be able to grow wherever which is great!

San Diego's winter night is pretty dry. I noticed that in November many nights had humidity 20%-30% or so. Although San Diego has numerous local/micro weather and your place might has different micro-weather conditions to mine, I think the reason that your N.arist didn't pitcher is due to the low humidity. Hope this dry condition can change soon and your N.arist starts to pitchers again.

great pics all over!

Where did you score a macro? Lucky dog.. I've been looking, searching, hunting for one! Tony's reserve list? Import? Lucky dog..

  • #29
Oh man... I really shouldn't condone your addiction, however:

You have really got some radical new plants in your collection now! Hamata red hairy! Singalana tujuh! That camp x maxima is probably my favorite camp hybrid I've seen yet. And really, that burb x eddy, totally worth the extra $.

I look foward to seeing them grow. :)

I'm overcome with cute every day :-D

Thanks! If you go look at campyXmaxima pics over at cpphotofinder, it looks like every clone of campyXmax just has the most magnificent pitchers. This one really did turn out like a colorful campy whereas every other cross I've seen with it lost that nice waist that makes it look like a cute little bell.

I put in an order with AW a couple months ago. At the time, he had plenty for purchase.

Hehehe :jester: I don't know what addiction you speak of ....

They're all totally awesome and I'm amazed and overjoyed with happiness that I've managed to get them all into my collection. While space is an issue for sure, I'd rather deal with that problem than 5 years from now trying to hunt down a species that isn't offered anymore (glandulifera, anyone?).

Wow! I can't believe the extent of your collection. Truly amazing. A spectacular selection of plants you've got there. Truly fantastic! I wish you the best of luck in growing them. :)

I can help with this issue ....
...and a replacement H.neblinae v. parva for the one I got earlier that almost died, but then survived, but AW sent me another in any case!
.... by taking one of your 'spare' parva's off your hands. Let me know if I can help .....

If you've got an extra N.paniculata, N.eustachyaXveitchii, N.pitopangii, or SG N.eddie; I've got an extra acclimated neb v parva for ya :p

(this is why the euXveitchii --> http://jthong.com/IMG_1832.JPG and http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b266/RainforestGuy/4fb66ae4.jpg, very handsome in my opinion)

For sure! This pic from an epic hamata thread is what I'm hoping for!

As a relative Nep noob, I am unworthy to be considered for ownership of any of those plants (& many others)

The red hairy hamata is sure to be a classic - seems like we should start to see some adult lowers in collections soon (I'm assuming the pic above is a lower - is that true?). Doesn't Av8tor1 have one that he should be showing us?

*looks at join date* noob, eh?

And about the hamatas - I think Av8tor1's is just a seedgrown 'regular' form that he blasts with his nuclear-powered lights.

I think that's a mature lower from the thread I lifted it from - I know they came out around 2006 or 2007 or so into cultivation from BE, and here's the only two threads here I managed to scare up about them with pics (there's less pics than there are eddies!):

http://www.terraforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=121488
http://www.terraforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=108415

I hear they like it cooler and take longer to acclimate than the 'regular' hamatas but anything else I'm not sure.

.... oh, I was involved with CPs long before I ever joined Terra but only started to allow myself to wander into Nep neighborhoods within the last few years .... ???

Hmmmm, maybe you're right but his SG plant is sure red & fuzzy ...(see pic at bottom of thread)

Well I've only been in Neps a year and a half or so... guess I'm jumping the gun :p I have been growing houseplants for ~15 years though...

His *is* pretty dang fuzzy..whoa! Maybe it's one of the spotted non-fuzzy ones mated against one of the fuzzy ones and out popped the seeds that made one of the plants that Av8tor1 ended up getting?
