Blade mSR Helicopter, 1 is not enough

elgecko

I've got a magic window!

I've been flying my Eflite Blade when I have time. It's hard when working 7 days a week.
These 4 channel single rotor helis blow away the 3 channel coaxial helis that I used to fly.

Changed the setting to the advanced swash plate settings a few weeks ago, and this bird can really move!

I decided to buy a second mSR off ebay (blue one) that supposedly had an intermittent 5 in 1 board and bad tail motor. Originally for extra parts if needed.
I've read on the R/C forums what causes the 5 in 1 problem and it's something I can fix very easily and if I could, I'd end up with 2 flyable birds.
Good for me that the 5 in 1 did not have any problems at all and it just required a new tail motor and some major adjustment to get a really bad "Toilet Bowl" out of the heli. Ended up stealing this one for the money I spent on it. :-D

Today after work I needed to relax and fly a bit. Took some video of my flying.

Larry,
If you read this post and want to trade the heli that you have that needs set up, I have some D. capensis to trade you for it. :-))

my friend got one of those....
totally transforms 35 year olds into 8 year olds. the guy got up at friggen 6 o'clock in the morning the day after getting it, JUST TO PLAY WITH IT! hahahaha. but yeah, totally awesome!

I have one of these, they are AWESOME!
I actually was flying it the other day and half the wing broke off... lucky I have a 2-year warranty!

Glad to hear you're still into the hobby! I'm definitely looking to pick up an mSR very soon. I'm getting the itch again! I just got my dad an mCX2 for Xmas - he's hooked. Their apartment here in New Orleans has a PERFECT room for flying these things - big, open, high ceilings...

Here's something I saw on YouTube that is DEFINITELY on my want list. Looks like a quad-rotor with an integrated camera that you control with an iPhone/iPod/iPad by looking at the video feed on your device's screen. Have a look at related videos - it seems like it has some neat features like automated takeoff/landing, etc. Cool!

I was given a 2 channel r/c helicopter as a 'stocking filler' present a couple of Christmas' ago. With only 2 channels it is nearly impossible to control.

That transforming bus is bizarre.

Now that Drone thing looks really wild!

2 channel helis to me aren't much fun at all..... I have seen people place weight in the nose so they fly very fast in forward flight and where able to whip them around a room.
Looked on Youtube to see if I could find the one that sticks in my mind but did not see it in a quick search.... it was a few years ago.

the Parrot AR.Drone is in my latest Brookstone book... they're only $299.99 and you need your own controller (as TheFurry pointed out). :eyeroll:

That bus needs to transform the other way, then I'd be in :D
