Some blurry shots wheeee! I just moved, so new setting. I'll see how the plants take to it all over the course of the next couple months to decide if I actually need grow lights or not.

platychila - I turned this tendril around so maybe I'll get a right-side-up pitcher? hopefully an upper?

Wow look at all the light your place gets! Mine only has one window on the northwest direction... :(

Ya - those windows get light from about noonish til maybe 6/7PM, but the balcony only from about 3-5ish currently given the angle of the sun considering the big tall building that cuts off the light early. Buuuut I'm hoping it'll be sufficient for pitcher production, and I do get the most light outta anyone else in the building I think so I'm saying I'm lucky.

Congratulations on your new place! Everything looks great as always.

WOW! All the plants are looking superb :) The N. densiflora x robcantelyi is just beautiful, so was the N. ventricosa x xTM, The N. ventricsa x inermis, the N. inermis! So many things looking good to mention, especially your new place :0o:

The plants are doing really well, and I really like the new place. I think that the neps may actually do better with diffuse light rather than direct.

Thanks :)

Yeah I'm hoping the ones I've moved inside do OK. That rightmost window gets the most light of all my windows... if only I could find a way to fit *all* the neps in it

:0o: :0o: :0o: It's been too long since I last checked out this thread. Your plants are fantastic!! I especially love that green sphagnum, and the graom... and all of your neps. :-O

  • #795
Thanks :) I've been trying my absolute hardest to finally figure out how to grow sphag out here in San Diego. I think I may finally have figured it out!

Looks awesome, I love your Hamata x Platy!

Update time!

now the platychila is making funny tendrils... it was oriented downwards so I put it rightside up. What does it do next? sideways. sideways?!

here's the whole plant from up top
DSC_0003-16.jpg

I think it was the esteemed carnivoure12 who asked if I still possessed a jacquelineae - yes, but nothing to write home about. I think these tendrils will be fruitious.

some pygmy and small dews with a 'vigorous' Cephalotus
DSC_0005-16.jpg

I kept a flava - not the female clone, but the one I've had about 3ish years now. The species doesn't do well for me, but I'm hopeful nonetheless
