my potential hamata monstrosity errr....i mean cultivar: N. hamata "i need braces"
reasoning is painfully obvious. im suspecting it's not a disease issue, but more with TC, can anybody verify?

:spazz:
OMG YAY!!!
I've been waiting all day for this!!!
I LOVE what I see and look forward to moar plz, sir

I was wondering when something like this was gonna happen. :hail:

*steal* :p

Seriously gorgeous amph :)

Those look amazing. I love that talangensis, mine hasn't pitchered in so long I've almost forgotten how beautiful they can be! Is your growing medium for those Heliamphora living sphagnum? It's a bit hard to make out through those clear pots (which are really cool, by the way).

Thanks for sharing with us!!
CJ

Pitcheresque!

You are just... a jerk!

Dangling these beautiful plants infront of us, showing how much of a good grower you are... and that platychila looks pure to me... congrats you jerk! ;)

Awesome pics Amph! :) One of the few pictures of a pitchering talangensis to boot! :)

thanks for the kind comments everyone!
@liz: i plan on taking a few more shots of the dews and pings during the weekend.
@unstuck: it's 1:1:1 of LFS (live), perlite, and orchid bark.
@carn: and proud! hahaha. actually, my plants dont look that great at all....the camera is magical! :awesome:
but yeah, there are a few more to take, jacquelinae is about to finish a pitcher...but the others are
struggling...macrophyllas look like they are going to make a rebound in time (sooo slow), mikei and glabrata are a mess, and singalana is just staring at me doing nothing except making leaves....
@brokken: im concluding it's a seasonal thing....im expecting talangensis to stop pitcher production and abort all its pitchers when june/july rolls around.

P. cyclosecta:
For real this color? Amazingfruit! That is one I'd own!

That N. jacquelinae pitcher looks so baby N. ampullaria like! LOL

  • #14
@swords: yes. p. cyclosecta has purple leaves as the norm.
and yeah, jacq looks pretty weird looking, im thinking because it's new (popped open yesterday). cant explain the molted pattern though...could be the angle too...

NICE! D. slackii is just chilling on my want list. Let me know if you get any plantlets out of it you wouldn't mind trading.

  • #16
I like the mottling a lot, solid green or red are so common.

I may have to start looking for a P. cyclosecta I love those leaves. Does it grow well on pure live sphagnum moss?

  • #17
I don't know if ANY pings grow well on live LFS. It's either peat or a 100% mineral mix.

  • #18
im somewhere in the between. for cyclosecta, it is peat based, but there's sand (large grain) and perlite in there as well.

the agnata grows in 100% LFS lol.

  • #19
The few pings I've ever owned climbed out of the peat and sand based mix I had them in so I reburied them then they rotted. :(
