Yeah huh  and only for looking at- I don't eat anything of the sea.

Everyone's always like "You don't even like lobster?" and I'm like "Ew no. Besides, they're my friends <3"

Crab- Cardisoma armatum

This is a great thread!! good idea. Some of those spiders give me the willies.

Short story of a weird pet i once had.

Back in the day (high school) i kept one of these guys (not my photo). I had it for a few years. I originally had it with a bunch of fiddler crabs, until i came home one day to a crunching sound and he was eating one. He shed a bunch and got 7-8 leg span. All was fine, until i woke up one morning and he was out of the aquarium. We searched the house high and low... after a few days we expected the dog to find him dead somewhere. So after a few weeks and no sign of the lost crab, i took the tank down. Mom wasn't too happy to have a large crab loose in the house.

So then a slightly over a month and a half later, my mom was in the basement doing the laundry. It's a dungeony type of basement. She hears a scrapping sound... and turns around and the crab was in the condensation drain from the furnace covered in lint. But getting enough water to survive on i guess. So he must of gotten into some clothes... and we threw them down the laundry shoot from the 2nd floor... making his way to the basement.

I kept him for another year after that.. but he got stuck molting.. and died....

fun pet though!

the end

I can't wait for mine to look like that! I have an orange and yellow phase. I have a mali too. I wanted a rainbow geyri but it was crazy expensive so I just got the yellow and Orange. Very nice lizard!

My favorite lizard I have owned is Uromastyx geyri, followed closely by a Jackson's Chameleon but they don't live as long.

Uromastyx geyri, the color is unbelievable.

I have a giant day gecko, 2 Parasphromenus bintan (rare licorice gouramis), and a pair of Fundulopanchax gardneri. The gecko is easy to photograph, but the gouramis hide all of the time and the killies never stop moving.

Here's a couple pictures of my California King Snake. I got him about a month ago from a reptile show here in Cleveland. Still doesn't have a name :-( I'm too indecisive.

Call him Marcel, like the famous French mime. Both wear/wore black and white stripes.

I've got a female Pantodon buchholzhi. It's fun to feed her insects with a pair of forceps; she strikes with precision and grace like no predatory fish I've ever seen. I have lost a few tetras with her help, though.

She knows what a camera is; she is apathetic most of the time, but if the camera comes out, she won't sit still.

I've also got a 55 gallon with some Coenobita species and my orange Porcellio scaber that are fun to watch.

Butterfly fish are awesome! If you want to take a photo of her try putting the camera in front of the tank before feeding her. Eventually she'll start to associate the camera with food. My fish act the same way, but they don't come out for feeding either.

I think my gecko is a strong contender for strangest behavior. He's shedding right now, holding his right rear foot over his head...... He's strange.
