Loving the gypsicola and the regia. Also, once you decide you have too many of those capensis giants. . . :awesome:

Is there anything you can't grow magnificently?

Petiolaris Ahoy!!

It'd been way too long since I took any photos of my petiolaris sundews... The seedlings are well on their way to adulthood so figured it was about time.. I also potted up all of the baby Falconeri into their new pots for the next stage of their little lives. Hopefully they dont shock too bad.. Anyhow, onward to pics! I HIGHLY recommend clicking on them to view them full size if you see one you particularly like.. Alot of these are large, high def images.

Aff. ordensis x falconeri, grown from seed. The biggest are a bit bigger then quarters now.

ordensis x paradoxa, grown from seed. Bit bigger then a quarter, sole survivor.

broomensis, grown from seed. Almost half dollar sized. Only seedling to germinate. Edit: haha! it was just pointed out to me that there's a second tiny seedling inside the perimeter of the larger one, I didnt even notice!

kenneallyi, sent to me dormant, now growing well. Im thinkin' its time to repot it into a big boy pot.

An unknown hybrid.. No ID.. Recently went from one big plant, to a smaller plant with offshoot.. Gave it one well deserved hair cut after taking pics.. Looks much better now lol.

Quick pic of the tank before I put it back up on the shelf and filled it back up with water.. You can see the newly potted baby falconeris in there.. Grow babies grow! Their pots are 5" wide for size reference..

Yee, haw! Looks like fun. Good growing!

Those dews look fantastic! Pretty soon you will have to be upgrading your tank to make room for all those seedgrown beauties.

'Just dazzling, Brie! I certainly can't pick a favorite. This is what I need to get me moving on my new petiolaris tank.

Bahhhhhh, I have GOT to get into the petiolaris complex! Is that last picture just a 10g?

yep.. its a 10gal wrapped in that mylar bubble wrap.. Set on the top shelf of my rack under the 6 bulb T5s, and sits on a 22" seed tray heat pad. Runs up to 100 during the day, no lower then 75 at night.. Water level sits right below the rim of the shortest pot..

Verdy nice.

  • #278
Everything looks great. All the stuff I sent you seems to have recovered nicely.

  • #279
Looks high roller compared to my setup.. considering I don't have one. You rock.. no pun intended.

  • #280
My D. adelae seem to crap out and shrivel up once a year for a couple months, then they freaking EXPLODE again.

And thanks for the Ping rock update. That thing is so freaking cool. Gotta attempt something like that some time.

Oh, and... I may be flying to WA and then driving back in the next couple months and if so, I'm totally buying like 5 bags of that freaking sand and driving all the way back with it, hahaha.

EDIT: This is a fan-FREAKING-tastic post!!! :spazz:
