I was watching your video, and there was something really bizarre about it that I couldn't quite put my finger on. 10 minutes in, it hits me, we have the exact same voice. Our voices are identical, down to the accent. I don't really know what to think of that, but I would have felt strange not telling you. anyway... have a good one...

That's bizarre! There was a guy in my color theory class that had a nearly identical voice, too. It's freakin surreal.

Hello,

Was wondering if you have a xs N Edwardsiana for an immediate sale?

Thank you,

He only sold one per customer, so no. I've only had it for a month, and I'm far from willing to part with it. Please stop asking me, as the question will remain no.

Lol nice zen terr, neat idea

  • #428
Very nice plants, especially the U. humboldtii! :)

  • #429
The humboldtii is going to be blooming soon, and it has a "hunting" offshoot. Hopefully it doesn't burn the blooms on the lights.
My sculpture professor likes the Zen terrarium, so it definitely worked.

Are you sure those are D. cistiflora? The leaves look identical to my common spatulata, and nothing like the cistiflora I have......

  • #431
They're seed grown, and came from a very reputable source, so I'm very sure. The leaves are a lot skinnier than spatulata's. Just look at how thin the petiole is. The largest one is only an inch wide.

  • #432
not to mention selling and asking people to sell on TF is against the rules CP4ver.

  • #433
The petioles are that thin on a lot of typical spats. No pic I've ever seen of cistiflora shows the rosettes with spatulate leaves either, always strap-shaped. That includes the specimens I have. I still think there may have been an accidental mix-up.

  • #434
These look a little more spatulate than most.
http://forum.petpitcher.com/showthread.php?t=20311

D. cistiflora is very polymorphic. I've seen some with very broad leaves, and some that are needle thin. This is also the red flowered form, which not many people have, so it may be a little different.

  • #435
Still can't find any images of cistiflora with leaves like that ( spatulate, yes, but spoon shaped, no), and I can't get your link to work.
I'll stay skeptical until they produce stems.

  • #436
I sent the image to Damon to see what he can make of it.

  • #437
Cute plants Wireman. I love that eddie. So amazing.

  • #438
An amazing spring crop. The D. cistiflora look very good. Are these grown out of doors? I just read where Stewart McPherson commented on the large variability of this species.

  • #439
Damon just confirmed that the cistifloras are actually spatulatas. Getting replacement seeds sent.
