Wire Man's Plants

  • Thread starter Wire Man
  • Start date

I still can't believe it grew that fast, let alone the surrounding vegetation.
I'm probably going to expand the bog garden next Spring and get most of the potted plants in the ground. As if I didn't have enough plants already I just ordered a Dionaea 'Cocquilage' and 'B52'. They were in stock, so why not?

  • #482
Just got N. flava, spectabilis, macfarlanei, and rigidifolia in yesterday, all seed grown! Also got a spectabilis x hamata on the way! And then there's the monster S. 'Alucard' that should be photo ready next year. The phyllodia are close to 2 feet long. I'll get pics up soon.

  • #483
Lucky man! 'Alucard' is definitely on my want list.

  • #484
You may want to sit down for this one.

This thing has been flowering non-stop for 2 months.

These still don't match a similar photo I took last year.

N. spectabilis x hamata. 2 different plants. One has dark pitchers, the other is much paler.

S. leuco Garcon Point C. Probably one of the fattest leucos I've ever seen and does not fall over during intense storms. I'm definitely using this one to make some worthwhile mitchellianas.

Holy mackerel, man. Those are great pics! I really like the contrasty S. purpurea x 'Leah Wilkerson', the Ornithophora radicans, and especially the S. 'Goldbug' x x mitchelliana on hold for Mason, lucky ducky!

  • #487
Lil I put a division of the goldbug x mitchelliana i gave graham into tissue culture with a friend so hopefully in the next year or so I'll have tons available. I'm hoping it will be one of the next lecucophylla tarnoks/doodlebugs of the CP world. Also very nice graham! Wish you had told me you were looking for ramispina I could have shared some with you!

  • #489
Thank you. Everything should look even better next year once the new stuff settles in. I was always looking for ramispina.

  • #490
looking real nice, great spider pics too

  • #491
Cool plants, thanks for sharing

  • #492
Love your jumping spider pics!

  • #493
I get a lot of practice photographing spiders with my 6" hostile tarantula. Jumpers are easy after dealing with her.

Part 1 of a who knows how many part update, because Flickr is being fickle with me.

Love the Burbidgeae pig hill clone! Is that the BE clone or did you get a third burbidgeae? Also lavicola is awesome

  • #496
That's the BE clone. I wouldn't mind getting another one. It's quickly becoming one of my favorite species. The only downside is that it gets enormous. That's where lavicola shines. Stripey goodness in a small package.

  • #498
The peristome on that burb from Tambuyukon is very intriguing! The red color stands out ridiculously from the body.

  • #499
Looking good Graham. The Tambuyukon burbidgea is very different looking than other burbidgea I've seen. Nice.

  • #500
Its not from Tambuyukon, the burbidgeae that Rob sells are all from kinabalu.
