looks like the peltata really blew up for you.

Yeah, that's the stage I'm in. I had heard in a lot of places that hamata is very hard. But now that I got mine it's not so bad and I'm hearing people say I'm over doing stuff hehe. But I still worry and probably won't feel confident until I've had it for about 5 months.

Thanks Travis! Its putting up about 6-7 stalks at the moment.

@thag yea I got mixed opinions, people told me it hard and others told me it was easy. In my opinion you just need to keep humidity and ventilation up with a good temp drop at night for it to be happy.

Just testing out the camera on my new iphone..

N. hamata (Gunung Katopassa) opened a new pitcher two days ago, also you can see the jacq opening one behind it

How big is the pitcher on that katopassa? It looks very toothy

  • #187
I just measured it.. its exactly one and a quarter inches.

Katopassa... good stuff. I'm not sure if it is worth the extra money but it sure is special already!

I was just looking for a seed grown hamata and it just so happens that the last one available was from Gunung Katopassa.

Cute little guy, kind a derpy looking though. Hopefully you won't need to pay for braces.

Its still opening right now so it will look nicer soon. The teeth are perfect though, its kinda hard to see it. I am uploading some new pics soon because it looks much better now.

thanks!

Hey Luca,

You might want to take your Hygrotherm Display/Controller out of the tank. It will deteriorate in the high humidity overtime.

Thank you for the tip. I will move it when I get chance.

Let me know if you're ever looking to part with some of that Tequila. Sure is a cool looking plant.

Lol the only thing I would trade it for would be a macro or Eddie or another large heliamphora.
