Byblis! Hopefully my seeds will germinate sometime heh.

  • #102
Thanks!

These Byblis germinated quite easily, I did not give them any special treatment, but only two seeds germinated. Last time I tried to use bleach to accelerate germination and the seeds dissolved.

How long did the Byblis seeds take to germinate for you? BTW your macro shots are amazing :)

  • #105
Thanks!

Maybe a month or two for the Byblis to germinate, I don't really pay attention or write anything down.

  • #106
Woow you're photography skills are amazing! The veitchii tendril has got to be one of my favourite photos ever

Thanks!

After a brief hiatus, I have started taking pictures of my plants again.

I am getting some nice highland Nepenthes in the next week and participating in an order from BCP. My terrarium will definitely be getting a trial by fire when it comes to growing highlanders. I did get fans installed so it is way cooler now.

Not a carnivore but, I got some tubers for Sauromatum venosum. A plant with some rather suggestive looking blooms. It is sending up flowers and will post photos in another thread:

And I am back!

I almost quit this hobby today, had a bit of an issue with my home made trays leaking water, some kind of condensation issue. But it appears to have been resolved.

amazing plants and I'm glad your tray issue is sorted out.

  • #115
Love your macros. Great job.

  • #116
Man it's driving me nuts, that Utricularia flower looks so familiar, but I just went through all of photofinder and couldn't find a match. I'm sure someone here knows what it is...

Great pics!

Edit: I'm going with U. bisquamata

  • #117
Thanks!

Yes, U. bisquamata was my first pick. But the lack of purple annoyed me.

  • #118
Your Utric looks like U.bisquamata to me, I've seen lighter colored ones just like this. The unknown Drosera looks like D. capillaris but, it's hard to tell without seeing a pic of the whole plant. Nice pics.

awesome plants and pics Peat!
