J: I need to post a new photo of my N. naga - it has produced a pitcher that (finally) exhibits a hint of the lid protuberance.

Always thrilling to see new pics from you. Thanks.

The last pitcher on my naga has finally colored up. I'll post a pic soon. All of them have the beginnings of the protuberance now.

Nice plants, loving the color on that D. mac monantha. Quick question: what kinds of conditions do you have your tuberous dews in? The buds on my tubers have reached the surface, but refuse to actually bloom out into leaves.

  • #391
I'm keeping them in the basement where it's nice and cool with about 9 hours of light. I'll start increasing the light and drying them outin July to stimulate dormancy on the new arrivals from Down Under.

that monantha is a real looker! Quite the little hottie forming there..

Doing really well. The tops of all the pitchers got cooked when the AC died on me but it's working on 2 new monsters.

A speckled hirsuta? That's something I've never seen before.

A speckled hirsuta? That's something I've never seen before.

They're a BE release. I believe they're all seed grown plants. Mine was only labeled "N.hirsuta" when I bought it but I'm pretty sure it's one of the ones they're calling "Kuching Spotted".
