Nice pics! I love seeing the habitat of Darlingtonia. It's really cool to see the other bog plants that are growing alongside. Thanks for sharing

The funny pinkish color of the rocks and soil is due to the large amounts of smoke in the air due to all the wildfires burning throughout the west at the time.

Great photos, I love the one with the wood fence!
the 6th one with orange, yellow and green trees is also very nice.
The last photo's leaf color is so vibrant!

Thanks, Andrew! Aspen trees in autumn are lots of fun to photograph.

Just took a stroll through the whole of the thread. Great shots! Your composition really takes us there with you. After all the things we do to keep plants in our collections alive, it's humbling to know that nature does it better and with much less effort. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks very much - it's kind of you to say. The travel photos are kind of off the subject for the forum but it is nice to have somewhere to post them. I would take them whether anyone else would see them or not.

Part 1.

These are some photos from my annual fall peregrinations, this time into southern Oregon and northern California. If you're here to see pics of carnivorous plants, that is what this forum is all about after all, you might want to skip down to part 2.

Seedlings were all around this rather sparse site. They seem to be spreading :).

Stunning, at some point I'll have to make a trip out west to see the darlingtonia

Great photos. Glad the rare Darlingtonia continues to flourish along accessible hiking trails where we can enjoy seeing them.
