Someone must have done their homework, because both of these are plants I've wanted or seriously admired. I think I know who did the picking....

I dunno, now. I've been told it might not like the drier conditions, and i read they don't like changes, period. Alas, I'll just raise it up an inch or two and leave it at that.

Moving can be harsh, especially when trying to downsize from a house down to a single small bedroom. This made me change things up a bit, and move everything into the large terrarium. It has new lights, a 4-T8 shop light with two daylight and two warm light bulbs, I put a new timer on it to support the grounded plug, and I bought some silver bubble wrap to put around the whole thing, and to make a divider. I am going to make a duplex out of it, LL on the right, HL on the left. Cooling the HL side will be a challenge, but I'm sure I'll come up with something. I also got kinda bored during the week, and wrapped 100 Christmas lights around the front.

I prefer a cooler light, but this was just ridiculous. I went back and got a pair of warm light, and mixed them. I like it.

The colorful Christmas lights on the tank could interfere with their light cycle if left on at night. While they do look cool, it is kinda the same deal as street lamps interrupting light cycles. That being said, your terrarium looks amazing. Is that Sphag I see or another moss? Either was, it adds a nice touch.

Pine, who cares about the lights keeping the plants up, they'll keep ME up! No, the lights only come on for an hour or two, when I'm watching TV.

Who needs a regular bedroom light, anyways? This sucker lights up the whole room now. Wow, nuclear! With the timer it makes a great backup alarm clock. Who can sleep with the whole room going super nova?

ETA: Yep, that's Sphagnum. It's supposed to be red; let it soak up some of those rays and it should turn. There's some near black Sphag. in there, too.

I will buy a exo-terra this week, a madium large one. Rainforest/highland style.

Its pretty cheap, and i like the front doors.

The Exo Terra are super nice. Just don't drop it on the hand truck.

I am starting to see changes already. The Sphag. is drying out a bit faster; I cannot skip a day waterin he moss now. Hopefully it will plump up and quit the leggy thing, and will hold water better. I need to trim it, too.

I see a silver lining in all this.

Ludisia discolor alba, N. ventricosa, Dischidia pectinoides, Vanilla planifolia variegated in back.

A lot. Nepenthes burb. X edwards., robcantleyi, truncata Paisan HL, veitchii, spathulata X ovata, ramispina, and a disputed maybe mini alba up at 12:00. Utricularia humboldtii on the left, and alpina hidden on the right. Heliamphora heterodoxa X minor.

U. longifolia on a stick.

U. quelchii has awakened.

I don't remember if the little or big cultivar was changed to U. cornigera, but that's the new name. I think it was 'Enfant Terrible'
