Divaskid's Plants

Won't take much longer and you'll be out of space.
Doesn't it feel good to be officially back in it again?

I haven't had much time to visit the forums lately; looks like I have missed a lot... Glad to see everything is doing so well.

I finally had several hours yesterday to work on plants and finally remembered where those nepenthes seeds came from. The mother is N veitchii xx tiveyi x truncata and the father is either Miranda or Mixta. I ran across the tags I had put in pot as a reminder where the pollen came from.... I am glad to see that they are sprouting for you.

Wire Man: I'm also pretty interested to see how that one turns out. I already love the way the plant as well as the pitchers are shaped.

Mass: Yes, its great to finally be back!

Keith: Sounds like these seedlings will be interesting. I'll have to write that down so I don't forget what they are. Thank you again!:D

Just a little update on the P. gypsicola x kohres that sent up a flower. Its blooming today :)

lance, does your time lapse camera come with the laser so you can tell where the camera is pointing? I know some do, but the newer version that I have doesn't. It is a pretty neat camera and gets the job done. I like that I can leave it out in the rain :) I was pretty happy to receive it as a gift from a friend. Have you done any videos of your carnivorous plants?

Sorry for getting back to you late  . Mine does not have a laser pointer. Most of the videos I have taken it with are pretty messy from the camera getting bumped into all the time in tight spaces. However, I finally have a female Nepenthes flowering in some wide open space which should hopefully have some good results in the months to come.

Hahaha, Biozest, I'm getting a strong hint of tropical jealousy from you  I can't say that I would disagree though, I'm not fond of the cold either! Here's to hoping your weather gets warmer soon!

Thanks corky :) I try and take the pics in the morning with the rising sun. Gives nice contrasts and makes it so the backgrounds go really dark, almost black.

A few more from this afternoon. I finally caught this guy in bloom!

I did my presentation yesterday in botany on Nepenthes and brought my Miranda in for show and tell. The professor had a UV light so we got to see the pitchers glow. Pretty neat ;)

I only had my camera phone, but cool none the less. You can see ants crawling on the peristome
