Dinosaur Plant?

Has anyone heard of the dinosaur plant or rose of Jericho? They seem pretty cool to try, but I'm actually wondering if they'll grow new leaves and stay green for a while... On another forum, I read that this plant is actually dead but turns green when exposed to water...
Thanks guys!

THe plants are actually alive, but it seems to take some extra care to keep it from molding and dying.

I got one, but I promptly killed it :< Mine never turned green when I watered it so maybe it was dead to begin with hah

if you keep them in high humidity environment it will stay green and actually grow, they are fern aliases. ive seen a bunch of them in the greenhouses at college
