my wife says......

my brain is borderline schizophrenic cause my interests are all over the map.....latest round of books to show up in the last week

She can get ahold of my wife if she wants. Mine has come to terms with my schizo brain.

we have been together almost 12 years....you think she would be used to mine by now

Ohhh, I like some of those titles.

They'd have FITS if they ever perused my bookshelf, then. From taxidermy to botany, shooting to knitting shoes, it's pretty eclectic.

That's nuthin'....At any given time I'm usually reading at least 3 books simultaneously and thumbing through any number of field guides and reference material. Currently on my nightstand is The Wilderness Hunter by Theodore Roosevelt which just replaced Journey of the Pink Dolphins about the freshwater botos of South America. On the reading chair downstairs sits The Iceman, a biography of one of the most infamous contract killers employed by the mafia and a book on taxidermy. On the coffee table is a book about the cultivation of temperate orchids a field guide to structural pests and Shrunken Heads which is a history of the preparation and cultural signifgance of the tsantsas made by the Jivaro Indians of Amazonia. Girlfriend thinks I'm far beyond schizo....hahaha

sounds like me.....usually have 3 books going at once.....on the bookshelf next to my bed ive got books on oceanic anglerfish, a special forces medical handbook, a photography book on the over population of elephants in east Africa in the 80's, books on the evolution of mammals in Africa and Europe, a natural history of the islands the dodo lived on, a book on megalania the giant monitor lizard of prehistoric Australia ect ect ect and thats just one shelf :D

BTW that shruken head book sounds interesting......do you ever loan out your books? ive been known to do swaps of hunting and shooting books with people on another forum to get to read books i havent been able to get my hands on other wise.....

It's a great book for anyone interested in Amer-Indians, indigenous cultures and customs or the macabre. I never loan out books, records, cd's or movies anymore. Too many have not returned.

Here's a link to the book on Amazon.

http://www.amazon.com/Shrunken-Head...&qid=1382619292&sr=8-7&keywords=shrunken+head

It's kind of pricey right now but keep looking on Amazon and ebay. I got a brand new copy within the last year for around $25.00.
