You know you're addicted to CPs when you...

......when you post pictures of your plants on Facebook even though you know nobody in your friend's list cares.

Wow, I am guilty of at least half of these.... :p

-when you ignore potential hypothermia to gather rainwater for your plants
-when you've had complaints from family about how late the lights stay on
-when you've featured in your local newspaper because you have a greenhouse in your living room

when you start naming your plants and making up fake aliases for each of them

... You stare at your plants longer than the time it takes to prepare meals and consume them on a regular basis.

:-)) OMG I never knew we all had so much in common! Our plants really have us right where they want us. Everyone watch for the CP uprising they surely must be planning.

When a significant part of a room is occupied by the many jugs of CP appropriate water you have stored for your plants...

You are more worried about how safe the water is for your plants than how safe it might be for you to drink...

Field trips to a swamp or bog are exciting to you...

The idea of seeing a wild CP in person is more exciting to you than the idea of seeing a celebrity in person...

keep an electrical insect swatter next to you but only use it to capture insects for the plants.

Turn your bedroom into a green house despite finding the temperatures and humidity unpleasant

When the lighting setup in your room is brighter than the sun at high noon.

When you spend more money on your plants in one week than you spent on yourself in 2 months

When you come home and the first thing you check are the plants and the humidity/temps

... when your new greenhouse is bigger than your actual house

Good one! What normal person hears they are going to see either a swamp or a bog and says yay! We're going to see a bog! Pack your bug spray and sun-tan lotion bring the lounge chairs. ;)

...When you buy pots and medium for the next few years not your current needs...
...When you own over 1000 blank labels...
...When you realize rain water will never cover your plants needs and move on to other methods...
...When you go into the Container Store and look for pots...

Yes, indeed.

... and when you've trained your significant other to check with you before throwing away any yogurt cup, take-out container, or other plastic food receptacle that could be used as a pot/tray

... when your new greenhouse is bigger than your actual house

~when you rent out your house, and move into your greenhouse.

This has become a rather popular thread. I'm glad everyone is enjoying it. :)

.... when the number of packages that you've gotten in the mail over your life have easily been 80% carnivorous plants.

.... when the Canadian border guards let you through the border with a bunch of plants because you attempted to explain to them what they meant to you.

.... when you have a nasty pile of flat rate boxes over four feet high and bags full of moss and dirt covered bags within bags, and packing peanuts stored away in vast quantities.

..... when you go to a tropical paradise and don't go to the beach even once, instead you summit dank leech filled jungle mountains in search of Nepenthes.

When you culture insects of any kind, to feed your plants.

When you've had to modify your bed to block out the grow lights from the plants in your room to get enough sleep.
