  • #21
I wish I could make it this year, but I feel awful.

Hey Everyone: Had a GREAT time at my first and definitely not last NECPS Carnivorous Plant Show! Here is a photo-dump showcasing some of my favorite views at the Roger Williams Botanical Center. My iPhone pics do NOT do this place nor the Carnivorous Plants enough justice and I'm missing pics of a ton of cool plants but I'm hoping you all enjoy. I'll be posting in my own personal photo thread the cool selection of plants I added to my collection today. Big shout out to all the great people from the forum I met today who let me pal around with them and made me feel welcome!

Alas, one of these days I'll make it there. haven't yet despite having family living in Providence.

  • #25
Felt bad I wasn't there today. I'm excited for tomorrow tho.

  • #26
Nice pics!...No vendor table pics though? Want to kinda see the offerings :)

  • #27
Unfortunately no. I didn't even attempt to take pics of vendor tables because There were so many people. Was a great selection though. Lots of Nepenthes, cephs, pings, temperate dews and sarracenia.

  • #28
Darn...now you make me even more curious and wishing I was there!

  • #29
Another great show over ! It was great to see all the folks we don't get to see throughout the year and great to meet all the new people ! Hope everyone had a blast ! I'll post some of my photos tomorrows.

Show was awesome for sure, much better than I expected considering we didn't have to break down on Saturday night. Definitely great seeing everyone again. Selling and buying plants was a nice bonus too.

Here are a few more,
Posting these quickly so I'm sorry for not giving credit to the people who grew them.
There was just so many great plants. That Robcantleyi just blew me away!
That plant was killer!
As for myself, I feel my cephs were just not quite up to par, every year is tough with these plants.
Next year I will try to have a better showing for them and my fly traps! My big whiskey barrel of fly traps will be back.
I will rent an enclosed trailer if I have to to get it there.
As always it was a lot of fun. Nice catching up with everyone!
Jeff

That Hamata cross was mine. It was the last plant I got from Tony.
It's N. singalana x hamata, the red hairy form. BE 3487.

Ryan, the hamata was Luca's. Also, that plant you labeled as probably just ventricosa is actually vent x inermis.

  • #39
That's a nice photo though, I'm thinking of setting it as my wallpaper!

Hi Natch, that hamata is actually Ryan's. I brought the tenuis, platychila, spectabilis, and ventricosa.
