1. Only ONE (1) Plant per member may be entered in any particular month. This means one Nep vine, one Sarr Rhizome, one pygmy dew etc.
2. All pictures must be taken in the month of entry into the contest.
3. All entries must be clearly identified.
4. Entries are restricted to cultivated plants.
5. Contestants may post as many times and as many pictures of their entry as they like until contest closing on 09/30/15
6. Sequential pictures showing opening of a pitcher, unfurling of a leaf etc. are fine as long as all pictures are taken within the month of the contest.
7. If, for some reason, a single pitcher/plant/whatnot cannot be isolated and a group shot is necessary, then the particular pitcher/plant/whatnot entered must be clearly identified in your post.
8. Plant must have been grown by owner at least six months prior to photo, or sprouted from seed by the owner.
9. I didn't like this rule. You can keep entering the same thing month after month and if people still like it without getting sick of it, so be it.
10. Times of Contest and Poll openings and closings are to be understood as EST.
11. Judging by forum members and guests in a poll opening on 10/01/15, closing 10/05/15 and using this forum in this thread! Voting will appear at the top of the thread at the close of the contest entries.

** Please remember to clearly identify your entry!!**

Contest will be closed on September 30th 2015 at 5:00PM EST

Good Luck!

So can i only enter in one contest per month or can i enter a different plant in this contest and the pitcher of the month contest? Just wondering

You can enter both with different plants, just not different plants on one contest

Thanks. Not that this will have much of a chance but here's my VFT 'fire mouth' i love the colors even at such a young age.

Sarracenia leucophylla 'Tarnok', in an 11" pot. Someone was saying to me the other day what a poor plant this was, but my experience with it suggests that it can make a fine specimen plant given a few years. (Mine is four years old)

That is freaking amazingly well grown, Paul, with just four years' worth of time. I think that sets the bar pretty high for this clone's potential.

My experience has also been that the plant itself is quite a strong grower (but not THAT strong--sheesh!). The flowers make the botanical purist in me cringe, but at the end of the day it's a clone I like having around.

Although not as impressive as Whim's 'Tarnok' (it was all done with mirrors don't ya know :-D ) figured it was time to try and give this thread a jump start and remind folks of its presence. Here's my contribution .... pictures aren't the greatest, I admit, but considering I took many of them through a magnifying glass, they aren't the worse either.

Really? Only 5 entries? Did everyone else's plants kick the bucket or did Whim simply intimidate the lot you with that Tarnok of his? (Have heard rumors of Whim slipping 'Tarnok' steroids. heh heh) Time is almost up for entries.

N. bicalcarata upper and lower pitchers (let me know if you guys can see the photo because the URL is from facebook, and I hope the privacy settings don't mess it up)

LOVE bical! If I had the space and conditions for it, it would definitely be one I would grow.
