It hit the growlight, and the climbing stem started to wilt... I didn't have much of a choice :(

  • #22
What conditions do you offer your N. Ramispina? Mine isn't too happy.

  • #23
My grow area has very low humidity as of now so it stays in a 1 gallon zip lock bag with small holes in it. Probably gets 70% or more humidity... In terms of light I'm keeping it under 4 T5HO bulbs.

Hope that helps!

My N. ramispina grows on the kitchen windowsill. It grows very well though it has a tendency to drop pitchers quickly if the humidity fluctuates too much.

Hey all, just got back from an RV trip to yellowstone, thought I'd update with some the thread now that I've got my photos on the computer... I apologize in advance for the crappy iPhone pics!

Only carnivorous plants I found the entire trip, lots of utrics in a muddy riverbed/island. I didn't see any flowers, but maybe someone can help identify them...

Interesting, attached to river bed.

Thanks for checking out the photos! I hope you enjoyed them... I'd love to here your opinions on what Utricularia I found. Yellowstone is truly an incredible place! As cool as Yellowstone is, the highlight of this trip was definitely seeing a full eclipse in Grand Tetons National Park. Sadly I don't have any photos to share with you guys of that as an iPhone camera wasn't able to capture the eclipse... I do however have a timelapse of the surrounding area that I will try to get up in the next few days!'

Thanks for checking out my photos!

It looks a lot like U. macrorhiza to me, though I'm not all that familiar with aquatic species. Looks like you had fun! I haven't been to Yellowstone in...26 years? Man that was a long time ago.

I'm pretty jealous, Yellowstone is one of my favorite places in the US. I haven't been there in a while either, 8 years now.

Very nice pictures. I haven't been to Yellowstone in over 10 years but I remember reading that there were carnivorous plants there and (unsuccessfully) trying to find them when I was there.

Congrats on your trip. I, too, love Yellowstone and the Tetons too. I've been several times and never found any cp's so nicely done!

Thanks you, btw if anybody is planning on a trip to Yellowstone shoot me a pm and I'll share location data...

Nice Charlie! I love the cute little N. Sabre. I am happy to hear you will be getting a greenhouse set up, no doubt you will fill it up quickly, ha. I will be waiting for pics when you have it all set up.

I don't grow Huernia of any kind, never mind given any away, so that didn't come from me...

Sorry hcarlton, that was from dragonseye! lol

Alright, time for a little update now that my greenhouse is up! (check out my greenhouse here.

Messing around with a macro lense... This is Nepenthes "Splashy". Handpicked from Sam Estes's nursery in Hawaii which sadly no longer exists.

Cute little N. Jamban pitcher. The plant is starting to come back from almost dying.

P. Gigantea got a nat. Haven't had that happen in a little while (my basement is devoid of life).

Nepenthes "Sabre". Thanks to whimgrinder who generously gave me a cutting a while ago... I love this plant!

<a href="https://ibb.co/2SVntcq"><img src="https://i.ibb.co/42vmT4W/IMG-6374.jpg" alt="IMG-6374" border="0"></a>

Man I love this greenhouse!

I hope to get another update out sometime soon. Today was my last day of finals, so I'm just getting a breath of fresh air! Thanks for checking out the photos! Also, anybody got tips for caring for really little Nepenthes seedlings? I've got a pot full of little N. Jamban seedlings and I'd rather not kill half of them!
