I love going up to the LACPS meets cuz I get to go up and meet up with Not a Number, so I headed up today to go say hi! Usually I bring some stuff up, but I had to go empty-handed today because nothing I've got in propagation right now has the proper amount of roots. The meet was at UC Fullerton, at Ed's Greenhouse, which is always a delight. Lots of people brought lots of stuff for show, trade and sale. Here's my pics:

Nice! Wish I could have went. I like the Sarracenia minor, and those scorpioides look crazy!

No cp collection nor cp heavy show is complete without an infestation of d. Capensis.

So many photos to sift through....and that is one HUGE Amorphophallus! Gee, my konjacs and dunnii pale in comparison.....
Out of curiosity, it's not a fertile emu egg is it? That is one funky color.

Once again, Zuzana, why the paltry numbers of photos?

Quite the odyssey! Certainly makes me wish I had been there to see it all.

Thanks for sharing pics. I was there also and saw the greenhouse where they keep their Amorphophallus titanums. Two of them were going to bloom and they had an another 20-30 plants about 8 feet tall! They were selling small 12" titanums for $15.

Ed Read, the host and greenhouse manager, has done an incredible job maintaining the place. I went to the meeting for CPs and ended up looking at all the other plants and came home with a titanum. :-D

Very cool! I wish I could have gone, would have been a long drive though.

Did someone place half of a pistachio shell on that pink bromeliad looking plant?

Thank you for posting the pics, I had such a good time when I attended a couple years ago. I am planning to be down that way again this summer and hope to time it so I can attend another.

Thanks guys :)

The red brom: no idea. I just liked its colour and didn't notice anything else, but that looks more like a flower petal to me.

David: I know, I continue to disappoint :-(

Ed does a spectacular job with the plants, and his Ping & random cool animal things (did y'alls notice the snake skin?) corner is awesome.

The emu eggs: not sure, but it's currently sitting in my fridgy so it's def. no gonna be turning into a scary dino-bird. I didn't know a bird's egg could be such a wonderful colour until I showed up at this meet.

The emu eggs are not fertilized. Nathan said the boy and girl emus don't get along :-O

Some pictures, mostly Sarracenia flava, one of S. 'Judith Hindle', one S. 'Tarnok' flower
