I hate those as well! U. quelchii and n. macro always sneaking in where they don't belong

and all the flowers pointed the wrong way too.... geeze

stupid plants... I suggest you dispose of them immediately. You wouldn't want them contaminating the rest of you collection. Send them to me immediately and I will take care of this issue immediately

My villosa had buried pitchers in the surrounding heliamphora pots, one big mangled mess.

I put it off as long as possible but finally had to do something, so I trimmed and repotted.
Hope it lives..

haven't tackled the rack in the pics yet....

ugh

You two are spoiled. I will take a nepenthes that self sets as a weed ANY day.

No need to worry. Just ship the whole rack to me and I will take care of it.

I don't see any weed here, only rare CPs.

By the way, what are you going to do with them Butch?

Oh the macro and villosa were gifts that I've had for years. To me they are priceless. I just hope they survive the moving process.

I'm just having a little fun with the pics

Some of the other stuff will find its way to the classifieds and fulfill long overdue promises 😝

put it off as long as I could David, the villosa was unhappy... along with all the helis.
No airflow, less light penetration etc etc etc...
They will look good again in no time now though... doesn't take long :)

should had been done a year ago but omg...
bottom rack will be a pain in the **** but the only rarity on it is the macro and it didn't bury pitchers in all its neighbors.
Just lays those big thangs on top of everyone LOL

villosa after the clean up:

(in middle of watering cycle)

bottom T8 rack omg

That....is a lot of Helis.

  • #18
too many for their own good....

Just about all a heli's surface area is vertical, when they get that thick they lose much of their ability to gather light.
Airflow also suffers... etc etc etc

not desirable at all

helis are weeds if their needs are met,

May I ask what those two bulbs on the lower left of the picture are? Also, can we see some villosa pitcher pics please?
