So something was weird

I walk outside and notice something odd about my Miranda. One of the newer pitchers is hanging at an odd angle.

I get closer, and it's definitely off angle.

But it looks in perfect health. So I look inside.

SURPRISE!!! He seems to be breathing. I see bubbles every once in a while around his mouth.

Looks like a frog to me. :)

It's a Cuban tree frog, I think.

Always interesting to have an unusual visitor.

Cool. Is he caught or just visiting?

Did you release him, or is the nep fluid not dangerous to them?

If the frog has not already been released, you should use powder free, latex gloves. The oils on your skin could hurt the frog.

It's an invasive species we euthanize when caught, but regardless I suspect he's been living in that plant for a while. I've seen one in the pot and heard it every night for months. I left it in place, and will check tomorrow.
