Does anyone know if you can resurrect sphagnum moss? I put some dead sphagnum in a container on top of some peat moss and closed it and put it in the shade outside.
Back in 2008, I wrote a blurb on growing sphagnum moss, from dried material. If you truly believe that the moss is sterilized as advertised, I have a 1937 bridge, painted in International Orange, available for a reasonable price. Many spores can even survive autoclaving for short periods of time . . .
It has to be performed at specific pressures for a significant amount of time. Consider that many seeds, for example, actually require fire for their stratification . . .
