I've been out to Webb's Mill bog today to have a look at S. purpurea out in the wild. A beautiful day greated us with clear blue skys and temperatures in the upper 70s.
After several days of rain, many of the Sarrs were parcially or entirely under water. The traps were of amazing colors ranging from green with red vains where there is more shade, to dark crimson in the open.
Most Drosera were already in dormancy and hard to find. Some D. rotundifolia leaves were still visible in the Sphagnum.
Enjoy the pictures.
