where can i get detailed info. about pple pitcher plants? like terrarium care, positional lighting, exactly how moist to keep the 50/50 peat/perlite mixture, can i grow these in all brown long fiber sphagnum finely chopped? i have another one coming, and i want it to look as good as that one! nice plant, heheee!

Mine ins't a terrarium plant. It's a roughneck and lives outdoors yearound almost. But it isn't as hadry so i bring it to a less cold area for dormancy. All I have mine in is living sphagnum. Just grew and grew and now looks like a section of bog in the pot. I just gotta add more soil next year as the plant kinda "sunk" into the pot more and just needs to be raised up a bit. But I do nothin special for it and look how nice it look. Just let purpurea's fend for themselves!
