There is always the risk of losing plants by using the fridge method but as long as you use fungicide and keep an eye on things any losses should be minimal

during fridge dormancy, does the whole plant go in the plastic bag or just the roots?

It is already cooling down where I live(Mountains of North Carolina). If my plants go dormant now, would it be all right for them to come out when all the other plants come out of dormancy in the spring or would I have to bring them out earlier?

Three months is just the minimum recommended for a good dormancy. A little longer dormancy won't hurt them. If you think they have napped long enough, take them inside and gradually break their dormancy indoors. Watch your plants 'body' language. They will tell you when they are ready to wake up. Here's a link to our avg. highs and lows: Averages Anyhow, we have an old milk house that we use as a shed. It's about 6 ft x 6 ft and around 6 ft tall. It also has one large window facing north and a cement floor. This would be a perfect place to put dormant cps in. But my question is: are ohio's winters too cold for this? The milk house would protect them from cold drying winds but not from the freezing temps. Inside the shed will probably be slightly warmer than outside due to the tin roof it has. I have a small space heater that i could use on very cold days and nights if i have to. Does anyone have any thoughts/suggestions??
