Snow....

Thought I would share this morning's picture of the recent Lake Effect snow we had over night. Probably accumulated to 6 or 8 inches possibly more! I'll find out when I go out to plow with the ATV. Anyhow here's the picture.

You can see the top of the greenhouse as the snow slides away and the main road in the background. You can barely see the road in the foreground in front of my house, just the sandy tire tracks by the occasional car slipping up the road. I wonder how fun it will be trying to get the door open into the greenhouse.

Dustin, perhaps I misconstrued your intentions to shut down your greenhouse because of heating/cooling reasons... Why not just use it as a windbreak/humidity keeper for the summer? A hothouse for your neps, protecting delicate dews from any major torrential downpoors (rain is good, but the kind that hurts your face might hurt a wittow planty, don't u think?), and stuff like that?

The snow is like that here too. I feel your pain.

I took this yesterday in Centralpark....it called "kellotapuli" =(klockTapuli)....we have pretty much snow too!

Yeah, we were pretty much burried for a couple of weeks here too. Stupid NY winters. last year we did really have a winter, and this year is making up for that.
Not only that, the wind chill has been below zero for what seems like an eternity. I don't mind cold, but COME ON!!! This is rediculous! I want to start trading again, darn it!

I know what you mean schloaty! I have 2 trades on hold and luckily 1 other trade, the plants are still growing so by the time it warms up should be right on time to have all orders coming in. Hopefully and supposedly the cA (continental arctic) air mass is going to retreat and resume it's normal position up where it should be and it will warm right back up again here. I'm praying for it!

Spectabilis73,

That's Mt. Princeton.  I live in Buena Vista, Colorado.  So if you came through the Salida/Leadville stretch of Hwy 285 you saw these mountains.

edit:
Where in Colorado did you live?
