Hibernation Time

I'm getting a cold box ready for the winter now for my plants to hibernate in. They won't get frosty, they'll still get light, and maybe some sleep. My plants are all big and healthy with a lot of growth on them this year. I'm just slightly concerned that my VFT might still think it's still the middle of summer.

I've been trying to read up on this subject on my own, but I still have two questions.

1. I know I should let my VFT sleep over winter, but how about my Drosera capensis and my Sarr Catesbaei?

2. How long do they think winter is?

BTW: I'm in the north of England. I think it gets a bit too cold for them here.

1)The VFT and Sarr definitely need dormancy. Capensis grows all year!

2)They will probably need a minimum of three months and a maximum of five.

3) You could always mulch the box or heat it in some way.

I was thinking of using a clear plastic box, maybe with something around the bottom and sides to insulate it. I'll keep a tray of water in there, and if it snows, or the water freezes, I'll bring it inside.
