Sterilite plastic baskets

I noticed that our lab now use these Sterilite plastic baskets to tote samples and glassware. They have numerous holes, not at the bottom, but on the sides, starting from 3/4" up from the bottom. I thought that they would make great "open trays" - which would allow for 3/4" of water for the cp's and lots of holes for drainage. They would also be pretty good for washing soil media, whether in the sink or stream. In light of our incredible rain this July (14") and the resultant flooding and mixing of my seedlings, I thought I could house my containers more effectively. Whaddya think?
