Mechanical makeovers

superimposedhope

Somewhat Unstable
What have you done some kind of cosmetic makeover on? Cars, bikes, boats,?
I personally have begun the final phase of my grill. I sanded down the existing paint(angle grinder) and tomorrow will begin the priming and painting. Then it will be trimmed out in Stainlees steel, which I get for free from work. It wil be light green with yellow and white or orange flames coming up the front, aluminum diamond plate side tables, stainless handle, chimney wrapped in perforated stainless, inflated tires (lawnmower). The firebox will be gray with billowy white clouds fading into the gray and stainless trim as well. I just may tweak it a bit more by the end. I'll try to get pics when its done.

Sounds like a cool grill!

I have done several cosmetic makeovers of G-scale locomotives:

The top photo is the "before" photo, the bottom photo is the "after"..
it is the same locomotive in both photos.

My newest "makeover" is turning these two seperate locomotives:

into this one locomotive:

this one is much more than "cosmetic"!!
its major plastic surgery..been working on it over 2 years now..still not done.
one more winter will get it done..

Nice work
