Quote[/b] (FlytrapGurl @ Sep. 25 2004,11:05)]Finch, yeah, my grandmother snaps at me all the time about how I walk around with a look on my face like I'm going to snap anyone's head off if they look at me. I can't really help it.. I guess I just naturally walk around with a don't-mess-with-me face. I just wasn't born with that sunny, overly-giddy disposition. I'm not the type that walks around beaming at everybody with a "Hiiiiii! Wanna be friends?!" personality.
Yeah I hardly smile either. Even when I was healthy I mean I always have a neutral look to me.

Quote[/b] (TheAlphaWolf @ Sep. 20 2004,6:33)]I agree that violence isn't the answer. Kids always pick on you more if they get an expected response from you.
at first they really bothered me but then I ignored them and they got tired so they just left me alone. I have NEVER had to fight with anyone well... it wasn't really a fight... I just tackled a kid when I was in 7th grade because he took my gatorade
biggrin.gif
but then I was always scared of him because he was bigger, taller, and stronger than me... with the ones I just ignored, I never had to be scared at them because they didn't have any reason to keep bothering me. violence leads to violence.
IME ignoring it sems to make it worse-as you can't ignore forever you know. I'm prolly the worse person when it comes to comebacks and all...I could def use them.

You may say you have no friends-but perhaps you do-on this forum, and that kid who you joke with across the table, the one that pressured you to try the high dive...etc. etc.

I usaully have a cold face without Emotion. I think thats one of the reasons kids don't mess with me

smile_m_32.gif

But the best resolution, as I observed from school is just to say "so, who cares", or "oh... really funny" in a way that sounds like its stupid or something to that effect.

Being in Highschool now, I feel really bad for making fun of people in middle school.  It'll go away when you grow up and everyone else starts to mature.

Hope things work out for you!
What if you're with someone who you know you will get creamed? One kid is like that, and he is really pissing me off(one of the parrot people that say "you're stupid", "your stupid..150 times"). He can benchpress 150-I can barely do half that. I'm pretty drat sure if I punched first I would end up on the ground...with broken glasses at that.

Dino, as you can see everyone has diffrent opinions and ideas, Morals and belifes. Buddy I wish you the best of luck, remember something you have friends here that care for you! Please keep up posted on any progress. Do what your heart tells you, never take the easy way out, if this dose'nt kill you, wich it wont! it makes you stronger, so every day go on thinking your becoming a stronger person. If you feel the desire to, then pray. That is all I can tell you, everyone will tell you diffrent things, I say approach your parents with the problem, parent can take things to extreams they can get something done with persistance. Schools dont like "shows", and when an angry parent walks in the school persistantly they wil get something done!

And although you and others might not think there are others with your same hobbies and intrests, you'd be surprised... think of it this way you might have never mentioned your hobbies to anyone and few in any case, there are many who do the same because they think they are alone in their intrests.

Again buddy, I wish you the best!

I'm not saying that you should just stand there and let them maul you!
if they've got you cornered, sure... fight.
but I'm saying that if you're smart, you won't have to fight. it won't even come to them trying to maul you because you didn't let it go that far.

wow thats too cool. So you actually saved somebodys life!

That's an awesome story!

Dino/Pondboy: If you ever need someone bout yer age to talk to, feel free to pm me.

I think its funny how people always think people with glasses are smart...guess I am in some ways...just to drat forgetful. You could probably track me and my classes with items that are left behind.

In fact, in 7th grade, my mum made me tie a string to my "binder"-the other end was attached to the backpack. That was something to amuse my math teacher after I left my binder there about 5 times.

Hi,

No I didn't save anyone. That was a story a friend of mine sent me. I thought it was a good one.

*gasp* My name's Kyle. Your friend reminds me of myself a little. Except I don't wanna be a doctor. And y'know technically you saved more than just one life. As a doctor he might save tons of lives and if you hadn't been there then all those people might have not survived either, yknow? Pretty neat!
