S. purpurea question

Lets start from the beginning: I had (maybe still have)
3 S. purpurea ssp. purpurea (imm.)
5 S. purpurea ssp. venosa var. burkii (Mature)
1 S. purpurea ssp. venosa var. montana (imm.)
These were first in two bogs, then divided into three bogs, and now in one big bog. I stupidly divided 2 of the S. purpurea ssp. purpurea in July, needless to day they died. In the transet from 2 bogs to 3 my var. montana disapeared. The burkii grew like normal (See CPs of the U.S. and Canada (Schnell) p. 138) as did the other cps. In my one big bog I now have 8 S. purpurea. How? The seem to be:
4 S. purpurea ssp. venosa var. burkii (mature)
1 purpurea ssp. purpurea (imm.)
2 purpurea ssp. montana (mature, the biggest plant)
1 purpurea ssp. venosa
I have never traded the plants or divided them. I am certain no one added plants to my collection (as nice as that would be) and I have not killed any. Does anyone have any ideas? How could the varities change? Has anyone else had different growth all of a sudden appear?
Tre
