Iron cp art

very cool!
the scluptor knew what he/she was doing, even if the person who took the photo didnt! ;)
it is labeled "Serracenia Carnivore Sculpture by Lieutenant Mustardseed"
and its obviously a nepenthes..

the Nepenthes sclupture was at "Coachella 2005"
Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
Indio, California.
April 30 and May 1, 2005.

878 photos of the festival, and I could only find one that had the Nep in it!

Wow...that's huge. That must have taken some work to do. The Leutenant must have had an appreciation for the artistic quality of a nep.

From reading the sites you linked to, scot, it seems Mustardseed was the one who named it Sarracenia Carnivore (there is a reference to the sculpture on the 2nd link you listed). I don't see how someone can really confuse the two, though...

Maybe because Sarracenia and Nepenthes are both often referred to as "pitcher plants."

It is still quite a stretch though

Wow that's great! Even better than the old farmer around here who used to make lifesized dinosaur skeletons out of rusted implaments!
