Quote[/b] (chloroplast @ July 30 2005,9:38)]I'm sorry to hear about your troubles and hope you get better.

For your information, opiates are known to induce recurrent attacks of pancreatitis, especially if the underlying pathology is chronic.  Perhaps this is why you haven't been given these medications.

Both acute and chronic pancreatitis can be medical emergencies of the first magnitude. If not already done, you should ask for a full battery of blood tests and direct visualization of the pancreas by radiographic means, as both are useful in the diagnosis of pancreatitis.  If your doctors suspect this condition and such tests have not been performed, I would ask to be referred to another specialist.

In any case, I hope all goes well.  I'm sure your plants are also waiting patiently for your recovery!

Wow I never imagined that of opiates!

I`ve had many blood tests done, and they usualy don`t show anything save slightly lowered white blood cells.
However I`ve had this for over a year now and the enzyme levels tend to level off after awhile. I`ve had ct scans before but they refuse to do an mri of my pancreas or a mrcp to look at the duct!
